Alex Kirton is a Pest Control Technician in Bridgetown, Barbados, and has been working for Rentokil for over 40 years so he’s an expert in all the pests on the island, particularly cockroaches.
On one of his regular visits to the cathedral in Bridgetown, Alex was puzzled as to why the ongoing treatment of American cockroaches wasn’t working effectively.
On a hunch, he decided to investigate the ceiling, which was not covered by the service contract, and detected a strong roach-like odour from within.
Following treatment with insecticidal misting, the customer called early the next morning to report that the cleaners were having to use wheelbarrows to get rid of all the dead cockroaches. Another historical building had been saved!
