Corporate Responsibility

Company Policies

In recent years, Rentokil Initial has underlined its commitment to responsible citizenship by adopting central Corporate Responsibility Policies. These policies formalise the principles which have always been fundamental to our business and complement the local activities carried out by each business in every country in which we operate. The policies apply to all of our businesses in over 50 countries and are reviewed by the board on an annual basis.

This process began in 1999 with the board’s adoption of the Health and Safety Policy and the Environment Policy. In early 2002, the board added policies on business ethics and relationships with employees, customers, suppliers and the wider public.

In 2011 the company communicated a new Code of Conduct to all colleagues. It also sent to all managers a guide to good governance, outlining the company’s functional policies.

The board as a whole is responsible for ensuring that ethical considerations form part of the management function at all levels and the Chief Executive is the main board director with responsibility for all corporate responsibility matters. He reviews aspects of corporate responsibility practice and performance with the board. Health and Safety is on every board and executive board agenda.

The following policies and procedures, including Code of Conduct, apply to all colleagues.
