Rentokil Initial plc pledges to enhance skills of its employees

Rentokil Initial, one of the world’s leading support services companies, today pledged to invest in training of its employees at an event attended by John Denham, Secretary of State for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS) and James Purnell, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions (DWP).
Alan Brown, Chief Executive of Rentokil Initial signed the Skills Pledge, a voluntary, public commitment to support employees to develop their skills and so enhance their ability to make a full contribution to the success of an organisation.
By the end of 2008, Rentokil Initial aims to have provided up to 1500 employees with NVQ or Skills for Life training. Last year the company launched the UK’s first accredited training into the ‘understanding and prevention of MRSA’ which supports its employees who work in the healthcare sector.
